Baton Rouge Family Photographer- Mother and daughter portraits

Beautiful mother and daughter portrait

Meet these three beautiful ladies. They came to me at my studio and I was able to get a photograph of all three to document their sweet mother and daughter bond.

Sisters, beautiful sister portrait,

I was also able to capture some fun and sweet sister moments.

Happy joyous laughing sister moment, sweet little sisters playing

I have had the pleasure to work with this family since oldest sister was just six month. She is now a big school girl. It has been so nice to see the girls from tiny babies and to follow this family as they grow and change through the years.

Sibling Plantation Session- Child & Family Photographer Baton Rouge

LSU Rural Life- Plantation Photo Session for siblings, Childrens Photograher Baton Rouge

Here is a beautiful session of three siblings. This session was a plantation session I photographed at LSU Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge.

There were two older sisters and a little brother that was my companions at this session. It was a lot of fun and the children were all so very good and so polite!

The older sisters tended to little brother. So nice to see how fun they had together!

LSU Rural Life, Planation Family Session, Sisters and brother

The session was so much fun and it was as if we had a fun play date instead of a session. I captured so many beautiful portraits of these three lovely siblings during the time of their professional photo session. As a matter of fact it was very hard to choose which ones to show here in this blog post. These are just a few of the many many more gorgeous photographs that their parents purchased from this session.

If you would like beautiful portraits like these of your children, then contact Anna-Karin’s Photography to setup a time for your session. The best way to do that is by either calling me at (225)284-6354 or fill out the contact form here on my blog/website.

I look forward to work with you and to capture your children beautifully at this stage of their life!

Such a beautiful family and perfect photographs. I love how well they are coordinated in their outfits too, it is subtle but well thought out, allowing all the focus to go right to their faces.

I love the rich processing in these! Mom sure did a great job styling these kiddos! :)

Meet these two absolutely adorable brothers!

I have worked with their family for almost five years. It started when big brother was on my baby plan as a baby. Now little brother is on my baby plan and this was from little S sitting up session. Along to this session came also his big brother. It was nice to get a couple of the two brothers together. Such sweet boys!

Little brother is also quite the charmer and gave me some very nice smiles to work with!

It is so nice to have been able to work with this family for so many years and it is great joy to get a chance to photograph subsequent children and see they go through the same milestone stages like his big brother did.

Here are just a few of the many beautiful captures from this session. Hobby – Blog Carousel – Baton Rouge Photographer

Hotwheel playing boy, toy car collector,

It is that time of the month when I participate in a blog carousel with several other photographers in many other states and some other countries. The blog carousel is when we have a different theme that we choose to interpret and photograph every month. It is a great way to stretch our self artistically and think out of the box from our regular daily job as professional photographers.

This time the theme is hobbies. I was torn of what to showcase, my hobby is traveling and I have some great images from our big family trip to Europe last summer, that I thought I would share. Then I thought I should be a little bit more specific with this months topic. So I want to showcase my sons hobby instead this time ( I promise I will make time to share the travel photographs at a later time…soon). He loves Hotwheels and Matchbox cars. He collects them and sorts them and play with them all the time. This started when he was just a couple of years old and he inherited his fathers cars from his childhood.

Hotwheels, Matchbox cars, boy playing with toy cars

The interest has never faded. This son of mine could eat , drink, talk and live cars at all time if he had a choice. He even has written letters to Mattel telling them about some of his little Hotwheels cars and how he thinks they should improve them. Which did pay off as he heard back from them and received some more cars!

These photographs were from just the other day when my son was playing on our porch with some of his several hundred cars.

Hothwheels, Matchbox cars, boy playing with hotwheel cars, toy cars

He even showed me which one was his favorite of the ones he inherited from his dad’s toy car collection. The old police car! Which as you can see have received it’s fair share of love through the years.

I was also told that of the newer cars , this green pickup truck is his favorite!

Here are just a few of my son and even his brother joining in the play. I have so many many more of him playing with cars since he was just a crawling baby boy to now almost a teen. He still loves cars just as much as before and his hobby of learning and playing with cars has just gotten more intense!

Now please check out my photography colleagues that are also participating in this blog carousel, to see their take on this month theme. I look forward to get a glimpse into what their take on hobbies look like! The first one to check out is Season Moore. You can find her blog post right here: Raleigh Durham Newborn & Child Photographer

He has a great collection! I love seeing kids interested in tangible and collectible toys.

Holli Dunn - April 27, 2013 - 9:19 AM

Anna-Karin, love that you featured your son for this months theme! These will be cherished when he passes his car collection down to his son. I also love looking at close ups of matchbox cars, they fascinate me on how much detail goes into these little tiny cars.

Anna Mayer - April 26, 2013 - 12:59 PM

These photos will be such a treasure to your son’s future children and to him. What a beautifully captured memory. Love it.

Julie - April 26, 2013 - 8:02 AM

Anna-Karin I just ADORE this post!! I love so much that your son has this beautiful hobby/obsession! And your images capture him perfectly…he looks totally happy here. Someday these images will mean the world to him (as I am sure they do for you guys NOW).

kim - April 26, 2013 - 5:59 AM

How cool! We used to play with them when we were little and I’m a bit disappointed that none of my kids have liked them (yet). I love that they sent him some cars too. It’s great to get involved!

Best Friends- Dog & Family Photographer Baton Rouge

Dog & Family photographer, American Eskimo Dog, Little girl with her dog, Best friends,

This was a lovely session with some special clients of mine. I have been friend with C (mom) since we first moved to Baton Rouge back in late 90′s. We met because of our dogs. Fast forward a couple of years and we now both have families with children and we both still have dogs!

Little girl playing with pearls on white sofa,

It was a pleasure to have their dog Stewie come along to the session with their daughter M. As you can see in these photographs , the two of them are like a pea in a pod!

American Eskimo Dog, White furry dog

Stewie is a beautiful American Eskimo dog breed. He is such as sweet and fluffy puppy that steals my heart every time I see him! Clearly he has the same effect on his family as you can see in some of these photographs! At this session I also was documenting how big their daughter is now. She is no longer a toddler, she is now a big girl that is over two years old. Time has gone by so fast as it feels like just yesterday this beautiful little girl was born!

Here are just a few of the many sweet and lovely portraits captured during this session.

If you would like beautiful portraits like these of your family then please contact me ( Anna-Karin) to setup a time for your session. The best way to set up your session is by either filling out the contact form here on my blog/website or by calling (225)284-6354

I look forward to work with you and to document and capture the many beautiful growing moments of your family!

Beautiful Outdoor Plantation Photo Session- Sweet Little Happy Boy!

Sweet one year old boy outside, plantation photo session. LSU Rural Life

Here is a beautiful family photo session I want to share. I had such a fun time at this session and sweet and adorable little J was so fun to work with.

He was smiling and giggling most of the time. Little J had just recently turned one years old and this was a great time to document this big milestone of his age.

John Deere tractor toy, little boy in jon jon

Little J was so full of fun moments and I really loved seeing all his expressions!

Little Boy with smile and fun expressions

These are just a few of the very many beautiful portraits I captured during this beautiful outdoor family session. It was very hard to choose which ones to show as I really had so many great ones to choose from.  This beautiful family session was photographed at LSU Rural Life museum.

If you are thinking about setting up a time for your photo session then now is a great time for that! The weather is still very nice and many families are taking advantage of this and making sure they are planning to take the time for a professional family photo session to document the stage their family is at now.

My calendar is filling up but I still have some availability for sessions. To set up your own session please call (225)284-6354 or fill out the contact form here on my website.

I look forward to work with you and capture some beautiful memories of your family members!
