Mardi Gras Baby – Laissez les bons temps rouler! – Baby & Family Photographer Baton Rouge

In honor of Mardi Gras I thought now is a great time to share these photographs. This is adorable baby L. Her family really likes Mardi Gras!

They had this adorable hat fit for a Mardi Gras celebration, that little L wore for a couple of photographs during our photo session. She really got into it as well and seemed to enjoy the colorful Mardi Gras beads, both to play with and to taste!

I first photographed little L when she was newborn sweet very little baby girl. Now she has grown a bit and was able to sit up on her own. Little L had changed so much from her newborn session.

I thought I would include a couple of photos from her newborn session as well so you can see how much she has changed. It is always fun to work with a family, especially when I get the chance to capture their children in different stages of their life and work with them for several sessions.

For their newborn session , L’s mom had a beautiful hat and hat box that she had received as a baby gift. We used that for her newborn session and it was fun to see how much bigger she was now when we used it again for her sitting up session. It is always extra fun when my clients have something that is special to them to include in the session. It makes the photographs even more personal and important to my clients.

At one point of the session, little L’s dad took her to one of their rooms to listen to an old record player. It was really neat and it calmed down little L right away. It was one of those old fashioned hand cranked record players. It was a unique experience to get to both see it and hear it play beautiful music!
