The busy season is here again with many outdoor photo sessions taking place, before the hot steamy summer weather sets in here in South Louisiana. With that I have gotten side tracked on the blogging, but am going to try to make an effort to blog more often.

Here is a sweet and adorable newborn baby boy I want to share with you. Handsome little M came with his parents to my studio for his newborn session, and we got many beautiful captures to document his first fast fleeting newborn days.

Little M actually joined my baby plan and I will get to photograph him for four times in his first year. If you are expecting a new little one and would like to have your child photographed and the first fast fleeting milestones documented well. Get ready for session overload from this newborn photo session. Little M was just a few weeks old and was the perfect little baby. I was able to get both photographs of him alert and together with his parents. As well as him sleeping so restfully! With that I simply could not narrow down what to show. This one with his parents is simply my favorite, I just love how you can see their love for their sweet new baby boy so visible in this joyous portrait!

So here are just a few of the many great captures from M’s newborn portrait session. His parents loved them so much that they chose one of my digital collections so they could document all the photos captured from this precious newborn stage.

This was from little C’s 9 months session where she is now sitting up real well on her own.

The girls came to see me for a photo session at my down town Baton Rouge professional photo studio on America street. I have worked with their family before and it is always great to get to see them again and see how much they have changed since last time.

As you can see I got many lovely captures of the girls and especially little C to document this milestone of her sitting up and crawling on her own.

Baton Rouge-My Home Town- Blog Carousel

New State Capitol Bldg- Baton Rouge

Another month has gone by so quickly. It is time for another blog carousel post. This month the theme is my home town. I have tried to capture some of my home town in photographs for this blog post.

My home town now is Baton Rouge. I have lived here since fall of 1998, so Baton Rouge feels very much like my home town. My children are born here, my business (Anna-Karin’s Photography) is located here, my husbands work at LSU is here. So yes I am proud to say that Baton Rouge is my home town!

Here are just a few of my recent photographs captured around town in different places. Some of the places you will find in this blog post is photographs of the new Louisiana State capitol Building, Nottoway Plantation, LSU and Mike the Tiger, The LSU clock tower, The State Museum. Last but not least the iconic Frostop rootbeer mug from downtown Baton Rouge.

Meet sweet and adorable baby O. She came to my down town Baton Rouge professional photo studio for her newborn session.

Little O came to my studio as a referral from her older cousin. A few years ago I had a chance to photograph her cousins newborn photographs and his older brother.

It is always so great to have previous clients refer their friends and family. That is the best adverting a professional photographer could ask for!

Meet little G. He is the sweetest little baby boy.

He is a baby planner of Anna-Karin’s Photography and this was from his sitting up session. He was so sweet and happy and I was able to capture so many beautiful portraits from this session. Some where of his parents when playing with him and many of him both inside and outside my down town Baton Rouge photo studio.

Little G has the most beautiful intense blue eyes. The eyes where especially sparkly when outside and a few of these captures were done on the porch at my studio.

Preferably it is best to set up a time for your newborn session before your baby arrives. I may still be able to fit you in if you contact me once the baby is here. I may just not have as much flexibility in the schedule as if the newborn session has been scheduled before baby is born. The first couple of weeks in a newborn babies life is very fast fleeting and they are changing quickly. It is a great way to remember this fast fleeting time by document your baby professionally by Anna-Karin’s Photography.
