Here is a great maternity session that took place in down town Baton Rouge. We had a fun session and this couple was up for a little bit of everything!

New Little Brother – Newborn Baby Photographer Baton Rouge

Meet sweet and adorable newborn baby L. These photographs were captured at his newborn session.

Along to the session came also big brother G and their parents. It was great to have big brother there as well and he was so excited to hold his new brother. He took so good care of him, even though he him self he is not that old.

Little L is a member of my baby plan, as his big brother also was in his first 18 months of life. It is so nice to work with this family again and capture their new little bundle of joy throughout the first milestones in his life.

Baby L was so cooperating and I was able to get both great photographs of this newborn fast fleeting stage, as well as their whole family together.

As a matter of fact their parents loved their photographs so much that they purchased the digital collection so they could have them all for safe keeping in the future.

So Long Summer – Blog Carousel – Baton Rouge Photographer

Garlic chive, growing buds, about to bloom

It is time for the blog carousel again. This month the theme is “So Long Summer”!

If you are wondering what a blog carousel is. We are a group of photographers spread all over the country and some in Canada as well,  who participates in this blog carousel on a regular basis. We decide on a a different theme every time around, and then we each can choose how to interpret this theme.

With the theme this time being “So Long Summer” I was trying to figure out what to feature. As I live in the south of Louisiana. We still have a couple of months with very warm weather still going on. So I was trying to figure out how to interpret this theme, while it still feels hot like middle of summer.
For the past couple of weeks I have had fun photographing my garlic chive in my yard and the stages of bloom it has gone through. I personally really enjoy using my macro lens and often when it comes to a project for me, I use that to photograph with. From the beginning of this project, the buds were smaller then my pinky finger nail. So it was fun to see it grow and change over the past couple of weeks.

So this will be my take on this theme, as I have watched this chive grow all summer long and now at the end of the summer, it has finally come to bloom!  Right now the garlic chive is at the end of it’s bloom. You will be able to see in the photographs the stages I have captured of this beautiful flower part of the chive, from bud to wilted flower.

Meet adorable and so very sweet little T!

Both T and her older sister has been members on my baby plan from when they were babies throughout the major first milestones in their life. I have had the honor to photograph their beautiful family numerous times over the years. It is always a pleasure to work with them! This time this session was of just little sister T.

This was just shortly before her third birthday. This time we had the professional photo session in her home. It was nice to get to capture her in her home surroundings.

As you can see we had a great session and little T really had a good time and showed me all kinds of things she normally plays with. I just loved her personality, and she was so fun and playful during our session. It has been great to follow her from when she was a little baby to now a big girl that is no longer a toddler.

Another sweet treat for me, was when her mom took me inside their house. There she showed me their walls, showcasing my photography of their family and children. It was such a lovely treat! I had to photograph this wonderful and beautiful display of my photographs of their children , featuring several sessions over the past six years with Anna-Karin’s Photography. Seeing their wall display of my portraits gave me a big smile on my face!

Alert blue eyed newborn baby girl

Meet absolutely beautiful and sweet little newborn baby girl L!

This was from her newborn session. She was such a sweet and adorable little newborn. Very alert and she showed me her big and beautiful alert eyes!

Along to the session came also her big brother N, that I had the honor to photograph for his newborn session a couple of years ago. He was very helpful and considering he is an active toddler I think he did pretty good in getting a sibling photograph with his new little baby sister. It is always so great to get to work with my clients over the years when their families are growing and changing. This was the same. It was fun to see how N had grown and to meet their sweet adorable baby girl.

One of the cool things was that the grandmother to these sweet children came along to the session as well. She had a beautiful heart shape pendant that was made from the wedding bands from both grandparents. Such a sweet memento and little L was holding onto it in one of these photographs. It is always great fun when my clients bring along items that are important to them to use during the session.

The Big 1st Birthday! – Child & Family Photographer Baton Rouge

This handsome and adorable little boy is a Anna-Karin’s Photography baby planner. This was from his first birthday session and what a great one it was!

We started out with venturing down town Baton Rouge to get some beautiful photographs of little G and his family.  Little G has so pretty blue eyes and the outside session really showcased his eyes well!

I was also able to capture some beautiful family portraits of this growing family.

After this we did a little cake smash session to honor G’s first birthday.
