This was little C’s first time to have a photo session. She had recently learned how to sit up by her self and this is a perfect time for a photo session. to capture this lovely age.

She was so happy and easy going and we got many great captures from her session.

Her parents also brought along a little holiday pajama to get the holiday feel captured in a few of her images. She makes a a cute little elf!

handsome-e2.jpg

Meet little E. He is one of my little friend’s that is on my baby portrait plan during his first year of life. This last session we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather. His one year session will be when it is kind of cold and gray outside, so this was a much better time for an outdoor photo session.

family.jpg

He has the most gorgeous eyes  and that cute wispy hair. What a sweet little one he is. He is not yet walking but sure did a great job holding onto things. It wont be long before he is getting around fast!

If you would like beautiful portraits like these, contact me to set up a time for your session. I am currently booking for end of December and early January.

This next week I will be out of town on a family vacation. If you need to get in touch with me either e-mail or call me. I promise I will get back to you as soon as I am able to. Have a great Thanksgiving holiday!

Quilt Making

quilt2.jpg

A little while ago I got a call from this lovely lady. She needed photographs of her self with a quilt that she had made.

Her story about how she created the quilt had caught the interest of an author that is writing a book about quilt making. This client’s story was to be featured. I had a fun time trying to figure out what the best way to feature this quilt for the book. Here are just a few from our session. I am just as eager as her to see how the final result will look in the book when published. It was fun to capture an artist with her art.

Dancing Queens

sisters2.jpg

This was a fun session. Here are three girls that I have photographed many times. I am a good friend with their mom and about once a year we have a session with christmas cards in mind. For the past couple of years we have had outside sessions, but this year their mom decided she wanted studio.

So with three giggly sister close in age , you can just imagine how it went. There was alot of silliness going on.

However with promises of being allowed to play with my tutu’s , they finally agreed to a nice portrait for mom. The other fun ones are just a bonus.

Since I am a mom of boys it was fun to get to play and see their girly’ness show off. I think they had so much fun dancing in my studio and feeling like little stars. So with that, enjoy my three beautiful little dancing queens.

Watch This Busy Boy Grow….

l-trike.jpg

Here are some from this sweet little boy that I featured just the other day. That time it was his mother’s maternity session. This session was all for him as he just turned two years old. I have enjoyed photograph little L and working with his family since he was newborn. It has been a great fun to learn to know this family and to capture all of little L’s growing stages.

look-here-l.jpg

At first he was a member of my baby plan during his first year. Then I photographed him again at 18 months and now  at two years old. I think it is so wonderful to see how his parents value my photography and want to keep their children’s growing stages well documented.

It is always fun to work with them and see how L has changed from our previous sessions. This time around he is now getting to be a big boy. Like a typical two year old, he is very fast. This included a lot of running and even some sad moments when he expressed his feelings about something he did not like. Overall he was in a great mood and I think I managed to document that. I cant wait to see how much he will change from this time until I see him again for another session.

Maternity Session with Sibling

 maternity-k.jpg

This is the second maternity session I have photographed for this beautiful lady. The first one was for big brother L that also came along to this session. Mom to be looked so great and stunning and was just about to have her baby. This time around she was able to go a little longer. When I had the first session with her a little over two years ago, she went into labor the following day and L was born the day after. This time around she was able to go about a week after our session or so until little baby brother decided it was time for his arrival.

I have actually had the fun opportunity to photograph this family three times this last month. It was this maternity session and then big brother’s two year old session and then last but not least little brother’s newborn photo session. I promise I will share all of them here on my blog. To start I will show this maternity session.
