Newborn Baby in Mom's hands

Here is a newborn session I want to share. This is sweet and adorable little L and his parents. Little L was a very sweet baby boy and very cooperative during our session. He both let me get some beautiful captures with him and his parents while he was still alert and awake. I also got many beautiful photographs from when he was sleeping!

The First Family Portrait!

If you are expecting a little one and want to have some beautiful portraits like these to remember this special newborn time that goes by so quickly. Then please contact me (Anna-Karin) to setup a time for your session.You can either fill out the contact form on my website or by calling me at (225) 284-6354.  I prefer to photograph the little ones when they are under two weeks of age, as they are the most cooperative at that point but it is also still doable when they are older. The only difference is that we may not get as many typical newborn captures as is possible when the baby is still very young , like under two weeks old.  Little L was actually about a month old when I photographed him, but he was also born about four weeks early so he was basically like a fresh newly born little baby.

To make sure you don’t miss the time to photograph your new little baby for a newborn session, contact me while you are still pregnant and we will set up a tentative date on the calendar. This way you are guaranteed to not miss out on this time. I tend to book about 3 weeks in advance.

Daddy is protecting me

Here is a beautiful spring outdoor sessions I want to share. Little C was turning one years old and her family wanted to have a photo session outside to celebrate this big milestone and to get portraits of both little C and their family. We had the session in the midst of when the beautiful Azaleas was blooming.

It was a beautiful spring day for our session and little C was in a great mood. Her older brother T was also very helpful and made litte C so happy everytime she saw her big brother.

Break Time for a little snack

Family Fun!

The spring is here and that is a very busy time for my photography business. I have photographed lot’s of outside photo sessions while the weather is still nice and cooperative. Because of that I have slacked a little in the blogging department. Time to make up for that now.

Here are two different sessions I want to blog about in this post.  The first one was sweet little E and this was her first birthday session. She had grown so much since I photographed her at six month and was getting more mobile by the minute.

E was a very sweet little girl to photograph!

The second one is little J. He is one of my baby planners and this was his 8 months session. He had changed alot and could now crawl and sit up and get around a little.

His older sister also came to the session and after a few tries we managed to get a couple of good ones of the two of them together. Which is not always easy with two young little ones.

Beautiful Little Ballerina!

Here is one of my babyplanners and this was for her first birthday session. Sweet A is now one years old and have changed so much since the very first time I photographed her.

She was in a very playful mood and into all kinds of fun at my studio on the day of this session.

In our previous sessions she has been a little bit shy but this time around she was so happy and in a great mood. Which of course resulted in many great captures from our session!

The birthday cake was once again provided by Ashley Stephens. Little A really liked it and had a good snack while eating/smashing it!

Mr PlayFul!

I had fun with this session. Little A was about 4yrs old at the time of our session. He was in a great mood and had a good time coming along to our session in the park.

At first I think he was trying to figure me out, but it did not take long to get him to be him self and full of fun and enthusiasm over what we would be doing during our session.

He had so much fun with both his parents there and I think you can tell from his happy eyes how much he loved having a special day with them.
