Q: When is the best time to schedule an appointment?
A: This depends on whether or not you want indoor or an on-location session. Indoor location sessions tend to be scheduled during the day. Outdoor locations are best in early mornings or early evenings. If you have very young children that still nap, please consider scheduling our session during the time of day when they are rested, fed, and are generally in a good mood. For more information and advise please consult with Anna-Karin.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of people we can include in a session?
A: The sitting fee listed include up to four people. Additional subjects, please add $15.00 per person.
Q: When is the sitting fee due?
A: Your appointment will be booked and confirmed when Anna-Karin received the full payment of your sitting fee. This can be done with a credit card, check or cash.
Q: How will I be able to view my proofs?
A: Within 14-21 days of your session I will offer an password protected online gallery on my website. Your proofs will be available to view and order for one week from the date of your choice. If your gallery expires, it can be re-posted again for a re-uploading fee of $25.00 for three more days.
Q: Will the proofs be retouched?
A: Due to the time intense nature of custom photography your proofs will include standard retouching only. Removal of blemishes, marks and other major retouching will occur in the final product before it goes to print. Basic retouching is included in the fee. Extensive retouching will be available for an extra fee.
Q: Where will the actual shoot take place?
A: Either on location in a park or plantation, or outdoors or in your home. I have a couple of locations in the greater Baton Rouge area I prefer to use on a regular basis. When you book your appointment we can discuss the various location options.
Q: What should I wear?
A: My goal is to make your photographs the perfect individual of family portraits that will last for a long time. Your face should be the focus point of the portraits. Since photographs last longer then popular fashion trends, keep it simple when you make your choice of clothing. Try to wear something that you are comfortable in and that does not have distracting colors or patterns. Please avoid stripes and patterned clothing. Simple solid colored clothing makes for wonderful timeless photographs.
If there will be more then one person in the photograph, try to keep a simple color scheme as to not take away the focus from the faces. Feel free to contact me for more information and recommendations on what to wear for your photo session.
Q: What is your rescheduling/cancellation policy?
A: If you must cancel your session, please do that as soon as you know you will not be able to keep your appointment time. Please cancel at least 24 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment time so I can rearrange my schedule for other clients on the waiting list.
** If you fail to cancel your appointment, your sitting fee is forfeited and a new sitting fee will be charged for the next session time.**
Q: Do you offer maternity photo sessions?
A: Yes absolutely and it is something I somewhat specialize in. Most times my maternity clients come back to me for a newborn session once baby is born.
I offer two options for maternity portraits.
One option is the Maternity and Newborn session combo. This includes the maternity session and the newborn session (two sessions) with one set of
25 baby announcements and envelopes. This cost $250.00. With this combo the minimum print order amount applies to each of the sessions.
The other option for maternity session, includes a studio session and you receive a beautiful leather album with 20 5×7 images from your session. This is the same kind of album as the session album I offer in my collections. There is no minimum order on the maternity session and additional print or enlargement orders are available for 10% off my regular print prices.The maternity package cost is:$425.00 plus tax
Q: Do you offer a plan for babies being photographed during the first year?
A: Yes I do. This is a plan that allows you to follow the many new milestones in your child’s first year. It starts with a session for newborn, 4months, 8 months, and finish off with one year.
The plan is available for $325.00 and includes a complimentary 5×7 from each session. Additionally those enrolled in the plan will receive 25 custom made birth announcements from the newborn session. I will also include a custom made collage with images from our first year together.
To receive all the benefits of the plan, I must receive full payment at the time of your first session. * Due to the time involved with this plan, there is a print minimum purchase of $250.00 from each session. Baby plan sessions are available only on weekdays Monday to Friday.
Q: Do you offer incentives for existing clients referring new customers?
