Sunset over Cypress trees
Once again I am participating with many of my photographer colleagues around the world in a blog carnival. It has been a few months since I last participated in this blog carousel due to travel. I am participating in this blog carnival with other professional child photographers on a regular basis, we are making sure there is a little bit of time for our self and to have a creative outlet with our photography.
This month the challenge is : In the Sunshine
My take on this theme was actually some sunsets I photographed last summer at Lake Martin, LA for a project for Louisiana office of tourism. Here you see several cypress tree’s in lake Martin captured during the time the sun is setting.
The first one was taken while the sun was still going down and the vibrant red and orange colors are visible. I also really liked that while I was photographing this image, I was able to capture a canoe with two people coming in from being out on the lake.
For the last one the sun has actually already set and I am using a long exposure setting. You can see the difference in the smoothness of the water in this last image as well as the subdued colors.
