This was a special session to me. Sweet and alert and absolutely adorable baby J’s newborn session.

I have been working with their family for the past 2.5 years since their first son was born. The mom in the S family is also from Sweden just like I am. It is always so much fun to catch up with them and to speak a little Swedish with her and her mom during the sessions. Since we are both from Sweden it is extra special to get to work with this family and to photograph their children as they grow up.

Little J is on my baby plan, just like his older brother was when baby. I will get to photograph little J four times in his first year and half. The baby plan is such a great way to document your child’s first fast fleeting milestones in their life. Meet adorable and beautiful little newborn baby girl S. She came to my down town Baton Rouge photo studio with her family for her newborn baby session  when she was less then two weeks old.

She was such a sweet little baby and so very cooperative during her newborn session. Here are just a few of the very many beautiful portraits I captured of her and her family from her newborn baby session. I particularly like the one of little S with her big brothers that looks so happy to have a new little sister.

If you would like beautiful portraits of your newborn baby then contact me to set up a time for your own photo session. The best time to do a newborn photo session is in the first few weeks of life. This is when the baby is the most cooperative for newborn photographs. It is best to contact me( Anna-Karin’s Photography)  while you are still pregnant and we can then schedule a time that is for sure in the time frame while baby is still newborn. If you contact me when the baby has already arrived, I can probably fit you in but may not have as much availability for the session dates as if you contact me before baby is born.

Family and child Photographer Baton Rouge-Twin Brothers!

Meet adorable T and T! They are twin brothers and have been members of my baby plan where I had the chance to photograph them four times since they were newborn.

It has been so fun to see them grow and change so much in that period of time from tiny newborn twin babies to now big toddler boys!

This was from their fourth and last session in my photographic grow with me baby plan. At the time of the session they were 18 month old and no longer babies but busy fast moving toddlers. We chose to have the session outside at their home.

Which was a great choice a they could play and enjoy them selves and yet I was able to capture and document them professionally at this sweet and adorable and fast stage of their childhood.

I particular love this image when they are hanging out with their dad coloring with some side walk chalk. The boys look so relaxed and even to the point that one of the brothers is relaxed leaning on dad. Moments like this is a treasure to have captured for when they are older and they can look back on the photographs and remember this special time in their life.

Throughout these twin boys time on my babyplan we have had session both at my professional photo studio here in Baton Rouge or on location at their home or in a park. They have received a large variety in their portraits throughout these  first 18 months of their life.

Meet beautiful baby girl E!

She came to my Baton Rouge professional photo studio for her newborn photo session with her parents.

She was a dream baby to photograph, so cooperative and I was able to capture so many beautiful different portraits for her parents of this fast fleeting newborn time.

In order to make sure I can document your newborn portraits while still in that little newborn stage when the baby is cooperative, contact me while you are still pregnant so we can block that date on my calendar. I tend to photograph most newborns in the first two weeks of life as this is the time they are most cooperative and willing to let me pose them in those typical newborn portrait poses. If you contact me when baby is already here , I can probably fit you in but there may not be as much variety on my calendar for photo sessions as there if you book your newborn session in advance.  I tend to fill my schedule about three weeks in advance.

Bird and Nature Photographer Baton Rouge- Pelicans on LSU Lakes

Pelicans-LSU lakes, Landing pelicans-flying birds

The pelicans are here again!

This is an annual event that is so fun to watch when they hang out on LSU lakes for a couple of weeks. I have driven by several times and seen them in action. This last time I was there, I actually had my camera with me and was able to document some of these fun captures of the white pelicans.

I particular enjoyed seeing the pelicans fly and land on the LSU lakes. I have several photographs of them descending and going in for landing.

Child & Family Photographer Baton Rouge-Little Boy Blue!

Meet handsome A. He has been a baby planner of mine since he was a little baby. This was from his graduating session when he has now had his four sessions that came with the baby plan.

This time around we decided to do the session outside . As A is like most kids this age busy and fast moving. With doing the session outside it was more like a playdate where I just followed him around.

Little A has the most intense beautiful blue eyes! As you can see in these many beautiful photographs. His eyes really capture the light so very well.
