Here is a beautiful newborn baby boy that came to me for his first photo session when he was just a couple of days old. His parents were so fun to work with and that made for a relaxed and fun photo session. They had several ideas that they wanted to make sure we captured and we did. Because of that many beautiful and timeless portraits were captured. I had a hard time narrowing down what to show in this blog post, so get ready for an overload of beautiful newborn portraits.

The best time for a newborn photo session is when the baby is in the first two weeks of life. At that point the baby is the most cooperative and is easier to pose in those typical newborn poses. To fit you in on my schedule it is best to contact me and schedule your session before baby is here. By contacting before baby is born we can plan the session to a preferred date of your choice. If you contact me after the baby is born, I can probably still fit you in but the availability of session dates may not be as flexible.

Plantation photo session-Rural Life Museum Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Family photographer

This is a session from a great family I have truly enjoyed working with over the years! I have photographed them numerous times since little A was just a baby girl at a few months old. It has been so nice over the years to document this beautiful family on a regular basis, and to see the growing changes their children has gone through.

I have also had the joy to come to their house and there I saw how beautifully they have displayed all the photographs I have captured for them over the years. It was a great feeling to see that and I am proud to say that they have done a great job making sure their children’s growing years are documented very well. The years go by so fast and before long they are no longer little and you will not get that time back. Photographs is the best way to document the fast fleeting stages of a child growing up and helps freeze the moment for a little while.

We had this professional photo session at Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge. It is a beautiful place for a professional family photo session with a very southern plantation feel to it. Many old buildings from all over south Louisiana has been brought to that museum to showcase how life was on a plantations, and in South Louisiana during the time of plantations.

Get ready for session overload! I could not choose just a few because there were so many great portraits captured during this photo session. These are still just a few of the many beautiful photographs the family purchased from their session.

This is beautiful baby N. He came to me at my Baton Rouge Photo studio with his mom for his newborn session. He was such a sweet little boy and did great during our newborn photo session.

Mom even brought along an adorable little bear hat that we had the chance to use for a couple of photographs too. It is always so much fun when my clients bring along items to their photo session that is special to them. Little N also had this beautiful baby blanket that we used for a couple of the photographs.

Meet this beautiful family I had the chance to photograph in a park downtown Baton Rouge a while ago. Dad contacted me and wanted to make sure he had some beautiful photographs to remember his children at this stage of their life.

LSU portrait family-Child session, Little boys in professional photographs, LSU campus photo session

Here is a great session I have been eager to share on my blog. This was from a family portrait session photographed on LSU campus.

This family is one of my favorite families to work with. I have photographed them since mom was pregnant with their oldest son over six years ago and she came to me for her professional maternity photographs at my Baton Rouge photo studio. After that, both boys used to be members of my baby-plan, where I had the privilege to photograph them through their first fast fleeting milestones during their first year in life.

Since both boys graduated from my photographic baby-plan I have had the joy to photograph this family about once a year. It is so much fun to see how much they have changed over the years. It is always so great to have this family keep coming back and work with me and letting me capture their children’s growing years. Clearly they really value to have their children documented in their growing years on a regular basis by a professional portrait session.

Also I want to mention that these boys are ALWAYS so well dressed for their sessions. I complimented their mom during this session that she always does a great job choosing clothes for the boys to wear that goes really well with their personalities and that photographs well. She said her inspiration was J Crew Kids!

We had this professional photo session on LSU campus. Dr M, the boys father is an alumni of LSU and is of course still  a big fan!  It was actually a great and fun choice to do their session this year at LSU campus. All of us had a good time when there!

We had a great session. The boys were in a great mood and the weather was very cooperating.  Get ready for overload in sharing from this session, the photographs were all so good and I had a hard time narrowing them down to show here on my blog. These are just about 1/8th of the many great images captured during their LSU portrait session. As a matter of fact this family loved them so much they purchased my collection/package with all the digital files included.

Meet this absolutely beautiful little baby girl. She was such a trooper during our session and let us get all kinds of beautiful portraits captured of her and her parents at my photo studio.

Little L is one of the my newer members on my baby-plan. I am really looking forward to get a chance to photograph her four times in her first year and half of life. I  love following the little children I work with and get to capture them at all the different stages they go though in the early years. Especially from newborn to busy fast moving toddlers.
